Regular Meeting
６名のメンバーが参加しました。
今回も初めに最近の出来事を Round Robbin 形式で 30 秒～１分ぐらいの長さで次々と発表していきました。
Round Robbin にも少しずつ慣れてきててきぱきと順番が回るようになりました。繰り返し続けることで確実に上達しています。
Six members participated.
At first, we gave a short speech about recent events one after another in a Round Robbin style. We’re all getting
used to Round Robbin little by little and definitely improving by repeating.

スピーチは最近入会したてのスリランカ人のメンバーと入会２年のベテラントーストマスターのスピーチ
Speeches were given by a recently joined Sri Lankan member and an experienced toastmaster who has been a
member for two years
スリランカ人のメンバーは日本語でスピーチに挑戦しようと頑張りました。
スリランカの民族衣装の紹介は写真を見せながら頑張りました。途中から「ごめんなさいやっぱり英語でやりま
す」と言って英語になりましたが、途中まででも挑戦する勇気と意気込みは素晴らしかったと思います。
The Sri Lankan members tried her best to give speeches in Japanese.
She did her best to introduce the national costume of Sri Lanka while showing photos. Halfway through, She said,
"I'm sorry, I'll do it in English," and it became English, but I think the courage and enthusiasm to take on the
challenge even halfway through was wonderful.
ベテランスピーカーのスピーチは流石になれたもので、表情や声のトーンなどトーストマスターらしさが光っていていいスピーチでした。
The experienced speaker's speech was excellent as always, and it was a good speech with a toastmaster-like
personality shining through in her facial expressions and tone of voice.
・Table Topic Session
クリスマスにちなんだものと日本の鍋料理についての質問が多かったようです。寒い季節を楽しむ日本人ならではのスピーチが聞けました。
以下はトピックの一部です。
There were many questions about Christmas and Japan hot pot dishes. We were able to listen to speeches unique
to Japan and how people are enjoying the cold season.
The following are some of the topics:
・If you could spend Christmas in any fictional world from a movie or book, where would it be and why?
・Share Christmas memory, that always bring a smile to your face.
・What makes Japanese hotpot different from other winter soups or stews in the world?
・What in seasonal ingredients do you think are essential for traditional Japanese winter hotpot？・Individual Evaluation Session
最後に個人論評で、準備スピーチの論評を2分30秒〜3分30秒で担当者が行いました。
・General Evaluation Session.
今回は参加者が少なかったのでロールを割り当てることができないということから全員が Round Robbin 形式
で短い論評を行いました。
いつもは論評者が全体の流れと良かった点、直すべき個所などを指摘していくのですが、全員がそれぞれ気持ち
を伝えていく今回のような形式もなかなか良いと思いました。
This time, due to the small number of participants, it was not possible to assign roles, so everyone gave a short
commentary in the form of a Round Robbin.
Usually, the commentator points out the overall flow, what was good, and what needs to be fixed, but I thought it
was quite good to have a format like this one, where everyone conveyed their own feelings.
サマリーの最後に,柏トーストマスターズクラブは Yoodly という AI ソフトを使いミーティングを録画しています。 AI によってそれぞれの発した言葉などすべてスクリプトに書き出されます。ミーティングの後でそれぞれが自分の文法ミスや発音を聞くことによって改善点を見つけることができるという優れた機能を持っています。今回その Yoodly が今回のミーティングのサマリーをしているのでいかにそのまま引用して掲載しておきます。
The Kashiwa Toastmasters Club uses an AI software called Yoodly to record our meetings. All the words uttered
by AI are written out in the script. It has the great feature that after the meeting, each member can find areas for
improvement by listening to their own grammar mistakes and pronunciation.
Here is the summary of this meeting, so I will put it as it is.
• The acting president of the Kashiwa Toastmasters Club apologizes for a mistake in the agenda and welcomes
everyone to the meeting.
• N realizes there should be one more participant and suggests waiting for them, but they do not arrive.
• N proposes starting the meeting, and they proceed with small talk activities and share experiences.
• Two speakers discuss communication challenges with difficult individuals, followed by feedback from members.
• N, I, and A share their experiences and memories related to Christmas.
• M discusses traditional Japanese winter hotpot and essential ingredients.
• The evaluation session includes feedback on a speech about Sri Lankan national costumes and general
evaluations.
• The best table topics speaker is recognized and receives an award certificate.
• The meeting concludes with farewell greetings and well wishes for the holidays and New Year.
